Our Team

Gary Brady, Exotic Animal Sanctuary, Vero Beach

Gary Brady

Founder & Director

It began with one pet, two people and a few acres. Twenty-five years later Critter Haven has grown into a 10-acre facility housing over 200 animals and critters with a full-time staff made up of mostly volunteers.

The animals in our sanctuary require around the clock care and our volunteers go above and beyond to ensure every animal is healthy and happy. Our team spends every moment from sunrise to sunset caring for all of our critters.

Without our efforts, many more animals would be released into the wild upsetting the balance of the indigenous species of Florida, in turn bringing devastation to the ecosystem, which could result in danger to humans and domestic animals.

We also devote time to educate the public on the types of exotic animals we care for and the many responsibilities that each critter requires to remain happy and healthy in our care.

We Need Your Help

Critter Haven has been primarily funded by its founder Gary Brady since it began over twenty years ago. With additional funding from generous donors, we have been able to sustain the substantial cost that comes with caring for these amazing animals.

Despite these contributions, we are still in need of all the help we can get. With the licensing, food purchases, medical equipment, and medication, the costs add up quickly.

Every dollar you donate will help keep the animals at Critter Haven fed, healthy and happy for years to come.
